Meet Our Staff

  • Doug Gregg

    -Interim Executive Director

    Doug is a native of Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central in 1971, BS from Ball State University in 1980 and an MBA from Anderson University in 2003. He had an extensive career in Business mostly with Ontario Systems LLC where he was an officer in Sales, Marketing and Business development for over 25 years.

    His church work includes Pastor at the Farmland Christian Church, Youth Minister at First Baptist Church of Muncie and currently is the Senior Pastor at the Mounds Baptist Church in Anderson.  He also is a substitute teacher in Yorktown Middle and High School.

    Doug has been married to his wife Debbie for over 46 years and they have three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. His favorite food is anything that once lived in the water. He is an avid sports fan and a die-hard follower of the Reds and Colts. His favorite activity is spending time with his family. His favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz.

  • Hope Lehman

    -Ministry Coordinator

    Hope Lehman has been in youth ministry since 1994 with a background in YFC Parent Life and Campus Life. She moved to Muncie in 2004 and began working at Muncie Area YFC then went on to work at Union Chapel’s oneighty for five years before coming back to YFC in 2011!

    She’s been married to Kraig Lehman since 1992 and has four children: Hope Erin, Chase, Peyton, and Xander, a son-in-law: Tristan Noble, and one grandchild: Maxine!

    Hope's favorite food is Mexican and she could eat at Puerto everyday if the YFC staff and her family would let her! She’s an avid fan of Mickey Mouse and Cinderella, and enjoys cheering for her Steelers!

  • Tammy Varner

    -Executive Assistant

    Tammy joined the YFC staff in 2014. She also works at the Yorktown YMCA very early in the morning. 

    She is a former preschool director at First Presbyterian Church Preschool and worked for Marsh Supermarkets for many years. 

    Tammy and husband, Steve, have been married over 30 years and have thee children, two daughter in laws and a grandson.  Logan (Karlan), Betsy and Spencer (Anna) and grandson, Declan!  

    Tammy also claims many other friends as her children and they and the YFC staff refer to her as Mom or Mamma Tammy!  

    She loves baking cookies, hiking and traveling with her husband, being "Mia" to her grandson and taking pictures!  

  • Amy Hurt

    -Administrative Assistant

    Amy Hurt joined YFC in 2018 in a part-time capacity, as an administrative assistant. She works full-time at Ball State University.

    Amy has been married to her husband Darryl since 2012. She and Darryl enjoy going to the movies, relaxing and being with family. Her favorite foods are Italian and Mexican. Her favorite restaurants are Pizza King and Puerto Vallarta.

    Amy continues to be excited about the YFC ministry and how we can bring youth to Christ in our local community!

  • Sarah Blumhardt

    -Juvenile Justice Ministry Director

    Sarah has been with the YFC team since July 2019. She will complete her master's degree in social work from IUPUI in August 2020. Originally from Michigan, she moved to Muncie in 2017 and is happy to call it her home! 

    She is excited to be a part of starting up the JJM ministry in Muncie and is looking forward to seeing how God will move in the lives of teens at the Youth Opportunity Center. She enjoys exploring in the outdoors, meeting friends for coffee, spending time with her beagle Banjo, and she will be getting married to her fiancé Patrick in October 2020. 

  • Katie Driver

    -Delta Campus Life Director

    Katie joined the YFC team in June 2018. She graduated from Ball State in 2015, and has taught preschool for the last four years. She is also the Worship Director at CommUNITY Church, on the north side of Muncie. 

    Katie loves ministry, and is passionate about pouring into the lives of the students she meets, not just their seasons. Her favorite restaurant is El Rancho Poblano in Yorktown. She loves cats and has two of her own, Eliza Jane, and Lucy Anne. Yes they have middle names. In her spare time, Katie likes reading and writing.

  • Hope Noble

    -Cowan Campus Life Director

    Hope is a Delta graduate and a lifelong Campus Life kid. She grew up going to clubs with her parents until she was old enough to attend as a student. She's been on staff since 2019. 

    Hope is married to her best friend and high school sweetheart, Tristan. Together they have two girls, Maxine and Willow. In her spare time, Hope likes to read, crochet, go outside, eat at Puerto on Broadway, or go to The Caffienery with a friend.
